The leaves rustle in the breeze as if in applause
The garden puts on its final show
Before saying goodbye and goodnight

To take it all in, to remember all of its beauty

But my eyes can't seem to open wide enough

So we gather souvenirs and keepsakes of this season's show

As reminders of its splendor
Until its arrives again.
